Did you lose your ’street cred’ when your family expanded and you had to get rid of your soft top cool car? I certainly know that feeling when I had three little ones under 15 months and we had to move to a ‘people carrier’ – or ‘bus’ as my colleagues at work called it. Well it’s actually a great car and I love the electric doors and it serves us well as a family. But this video made me smile – it’s of the ‘Sienna’ family and their ‘ Swagger Wagon ‘

There’s lots of marketing advice out there and honestly, sometimes the lists and suggestions and tactics and 10 reasons and theories and on and on can be tiresome. So today we’re going to take an advice breather and look at a brand who is doing simple things to open its doors, give interested parties a full look inside their world and try to give back to the industry they hold dear.

Betty White's SNL Monologue Hails, and Nails, Facebook

Betty White hosted Saturday Night live last night after months of campaigning by the 512.000-member Facebook " Betty White to Host Saturday Night Live (please!?) group In her SNL monologue, White, who's 88, said: "I really have to thank Facebook (Facebook) ... I didn't know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, I have to say, it sounds like a huge waste of time.

Seth Godin: Getting Serious About the Meeting Problem

In another one of those "I can't believe they had to spend money on that!" studies, scientists have proven that too many meetings make people grumpy. Worst of all, according to Slow Leadership (how's that for a name?) holding too many meetings passes a strong message: the boss doesn't trust the team to function without his or her constant interference; and colleagues don't trust one another not to undermine them in some way. Last week, something like 80% of the number of hours that should constitute a sane work week was taken up with meetings. Every single one of them ran an hour or longer, although not all of them were worth 10 minutes. So Seth Godin's post on how to solve the meeting problem resonated

A good problem to have | Mike Industries

Mike Davidson rightly points out why iPhone/iPad apps are often better than their web counterparts. It also amuses me when people talk about two things in particular with regard to the iPhone and iPad. First, how much better some companies’ iPhone apps are than their web sites, as if the company is somehow so much more gifted at creating iPhone apps than web pages. It feels better because it’s designed for you to do things quickly. Most web sites are actually not designed for speed of task completion at all.
